I Am Gonna Do It

It is official because I am putting it on my blog. I figure if I put it on my blog then I have to do it, right? Ok so here it is, I am going to run a half marathon. There it is, now I have to do it. Out here in good old Queen Creek, they have "London's Run" every year and this next time is my turn. I have been throwing the idea around for a while now, and I realized that I am never going to do it unless I just decide to. I have never run a half marathon or anything even remotely close to it ever in my life. I have never even had the desire to run more than a mile in my life up until a few months ago. I just love running now, isn't that weird? I think it is really weird, because I don't know why it is fun, or why it relaxes me. Whatev, I am going to do it. So now comes your job.......I need to stay motivated, so I need people to tell me I am fat and lazy so it will push me to work harder. You got that?! Okay so don't really call me fat because that will probably just hurt my feelings. Hurray to all those people who run full marathons, you rock, I don't know that I could ever love running THAT much. So now, I gotta run a lot more than I have been to get ready. Yikes, I hope my kids don't mind being in the stroller for 2 hours while I attempt it. 7 miles is the most I have done so far.....only 6.2 more miles to get to a half marathon, *sigh* I am tired already.

Dance Lessons

I have thought about putting my boys in some sort of dance lessons. They love music and absolutely love to dance. They cannot hear music without getting up and bouncing around. Adam says.........no. Whatev, lots of people dance amazing and have no formal training. Maybe I can convince him later? Who knows.

So today we did a little bit of this.......

And a little bit of that.......
And then we had to cool down......by standing in front of the fan.

Baking with Kade

Since Blake started his arts and crafts class, it has left Kade and me home by ourselves. Blake is very entertaining for Kade, so I worried that Kade would not like him gone. I've been thinking of fun things we can do together. Today we decided to bake some cookies. Who doesn't like cookies? You're crazy if you don't. Kade had a blast helping/hindering me. He especially loved eating the dough.

After I stopped letting him eat the dough, he decided that he was bored with making cookies, so he decided to take all of the pots and pans out of the cupboard and play....whatever makes him happy.

Kade is such a cutie and I am glad that we have some "Mommy/Kade time" even though we do miss Blake when he is gone. Its just so much quieter while he is gone, its weird, I will have to get used to it, thats for sure.

Dear Gamma Graham

Hello Gramma, we wanted a special post just for you to tell you how much we love you! We look at your mission picture on the fridge everyday and talk about how we can go on a mission when we "have grown a foot or two." We are so grateful for your example in showing us how we need to be. We miss you! Mommy and daddy read your "kisses" book to us almost everyday because we love it so much.

Gramma, I am getting so big!!! I love to give big kisses to mom, dad, brother, and anyone who gives me love. I am talking like crazy, even forming 3 or 4 word sentences now! I love to run and jump and pretty much do anything Blake wants to do. My big blue eyes and long eyelashes get me a lot of attention anywhere we go, and frankly, I love it.

Hi Gramma, I am getting really big too! Can you believe it, I start preschool in August! I am so excited and I talk about it everyday. Mommy and Daddy put me in an arts and crafts class this summer with my preschool teacher and I love it! I get to make lots of fun stuff and they give me prizes at the end of every class. I am going to start swimming lessons with Kade soon too. woo hoo!

We love you Gramma, and can't wait until we can see you again on Skype! We are so happy that you are serving the Lord!

The ABC 500

So what happens when you grow up with out a lot of money? You get ghetto creative. Thats right I said ghetto creative. When I was a kid my parents were not rich (in money), so we had to find things fun to do around the house. Well it has carried with me. Where did this inspiration come from? The boys were driving their cars and kept driving through my legs while I was standing in the kitchen rooting them on, so I decided, wouldn't it be fun to make some sort of obstacle course for them? Heck yes! So when I got the boys down for their naps my ghetto creative skills got to work, and here it is.......let me remind you just how ghetto it is......it's really ghetto....

To start out, they must zigzag through the year supply water "cones" (there are more of them, I just couldn't get them in the shot), and then through the "not so never ending tunnel"

If they are lucky enough to make it through that oh so scarey tunnel, they must get under the "limbo stick of death!"

Then my friends they must make it through the "jungle o' streamers" (now this is the greatest of all my ghettoness. I didn't have streamers, so I took an old table cloth we had and made my own!)

Then we finally meet the end, but they must break through the ABC's to win the race!

I was trying to think of a way to make some sort of ramp (without them getting hurt of course) but I couldn't think of anything I could do to make it ghetto style. Any ideas?
The boys are napping now so we haven't tried it out yet, but I will be sure to let you know.

Thanks for checkin out my ghetto fabulousness, and a special thanks to mom and dad for helping me become the ghetto creative girl that I am today.

Boys Will Be Boys....I Guess

Blake has never once seen any Spiderman movies, or any cartoon of Spiderman, so why is it that he loves him? I don't even know where the kid figured out who he is! He tells me "Mom, I am spiderman! I shoot webs!" What? How do you know this stuff? Maybe it is in the genetic makeup of boys, you just know it straight out of the womb. This is him showing me how to shoot webs, and Kade just happy that Blake is letting him play spiderman too.

The boys wanted a tent, need I say more? Boys are so easy to please, move the couches and throw a blanket on top and they love it. But of course, as soon as I leave the room for half a second, Kade, the "daredevil," decides that being under the tent just isn't cool enough. Luckily I walked in with the camera and caught them before Blake got in the middle and the whole thing came crashing down. Which by the way it did come crashing down a short time later when my sister decided that she was going to try and climb in the middle of the blanket, I really wish I had my camera when that happened. I had to remind her that though she is small, she isn't 25 pounds! sheesh

Missing My Honey

I am feeling a little self conscious about having a picture of me on my blog, it's weird. Adam has been out of town since Wednesday, and I am dying inside. Okay I am being a little dramatic, but I am missing him like crazy. The boys are missing him too, they keep asking for him. He made "Top Performers" at work, which is a big deal and totally awesome. So as a reward, they flew him to Florida (yah I know!) for 3 days. I am so proud of him and all of his awesomeness at work, and know that he totally deserves it. I just hate being away from him! He comes home tonight and I can't wait to see his hotness, just thought you would like to know.
