My Little Gangstas!

Ok so my kids aren't even remotely close to looking like "gangstas" but they do look pretty darn cute with their hats and sunglasses. Kade isn't wearing his hat in his picture but I purposely bought rival baseball hats. Kade has a Boston hat. he he. Sorry to all those fans out there, but really, I don't like either team. I am a d-backs fan myself, but for some reason they didn't carry them at Target. What the heck, this is Arizona isn't it! Anyhoo, here are my "crazies" sportin teams we don't care about. Gotta love'em!

Finally!

I am back! (and I am not sure why it is underlining what I am typing, but whatev.) It has been a crazy couple of weeks full of sickness that went through the whole family and ended with an awesome trip to California!

We took the kids to Legoland. I don't know about you guys, but I really hadn't heard of it until about 2 months ago. The kids loved it! The park specializes in ages 2 - 12. This is Blake driving his own car all by himself. They even give you your own license after the ride is over. He was so excited to be driving by himself!

This is Blake and I on the helicopter ride. He was most excited about this ride. He saw it on the brochure and kept telling us he wanted to ride the "blue helicoter"
Next door to Legoland is The Sea Life Aquarium and we had park hopper tickets so we took the boys over there. Blake loved the aquarium more than Legoland! They had all sorts of fish everywhere! Blake was squealing with delight the entire time. They even had sharks in the tanks. I will have to post more pictures later.
They day before we left we took the boys to the beach. I really didn't think they would enjoy it very much because it was cold outside and the water was freezing, but they loved it. We had fun chasing the water and then running away from it when the waves came in. We did that until Blake tripped running away from the wave, and got soaked from head to toe, so we left to get him all warmed up. We had so much fun on our trip and I am so glad we went. The boys did a thousand times better than I thought they would in the car for 8 hours. My parents and sister came with us and I am so glad they did, they made it so much more fun.
My mom was a real trooper the whole trip. The day we arrived in California my mom got a call from her sister telling her that her brother Dan had a heart attack and passed away. It was totally unexpected and a complete shock. Adam and I were ready to take them home or to the airport or whatever they wanted to do. My parents decided to stay with us and make the most of the trip and the time with their grandkids. I know it was a hard for my mom, she was close with her brother and he was an awesome man. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Howard family, today is his funeral. I love you Dan.
