Our Beloved Prophet

I am sure everyone has already heard the news about our beloved Prophet President Hinckley passing away last night. I wanted to express my feelings about this wonderful man. I am saddened that we have lost him but so grateful to have had him as our Prophet for so long. We will move forward as a church, but I will never forget the words he has spoken for so many years as a General Authority. He has always made me know how much the Savior loves each one of us.

"The Almighty is with this people. We shall have all the revelations that we will need, if we will do our duty and obey the commandments of God. ... While I ... live I want to do my duty. I want the Latter-day Saints to do their duty. Here is the Holy Priesthood. ... Their responsibility is great and mighty. The eyes of God and all the holy prophets are watching us. This is the great dispensation that has been spoken of ever since the world began. We are gathered together ... by the power and commandment of God. We are doing the work of God. ... Let us fill our mission"

My prayers are with his family, and I am sure he is happy to be home with his wife. I have been privileged to hear his testimony for he has truly strengthened mine. He will be greatly missed.

***UPDATE***

Okay so Blake got the tubes in his ears on Friday and everything went great. The doctor said that he had lots of very thick fluid that they had to drain out. (eeww) He was a little sensitive to noise for the first little while because he could actually hear what was going on. He was up and running around like normal within a few hours after the procedure. Thanks to all those who were thinking of him and even called to check up on how he was doing.

Kade's Baby Blessing

Well it is long overdue but we are having Kade's blessing on February 2nd right at noon at our house. All family and friends are invited. Please come dressed appropriately for this occasion. I will call those individually who we would like to be in the circle. We lool forward to seeing you all there.

Blake's Birthday

It is time for Blake's Birthday!! Blake will be turning 2 years old on February 15th. We are going to have a Shrek themed Party due to his obsession with the green Ogre. We will post a time and place later for those who would like to attend.

Blake's Procedure

For those of you who have not heard Blake will be having tubes put in his ears this Friday 01/25/08. Blake in the last year has experienced way to many infections and it has really taken a toll on his sleeping and overall behavior. The tubes will remain in his ears for about 13 to 18 months and then push themselves out. Pleas keep him in your prayers and we will keep you updated.

The New Year is Here

Well the holiday season is finally over and the new year is here. Just in time for Nicole's (January 9th)and Blake's (February 15th) Birthdays. Does it ever end??? If not then just have yourself a happy new year and don't forget to wish them a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
